Stopping Query using code

A user is typing a name into a form. Clicking "search"

The program is now running a query using this name.

Right when the user hit the ‘search’ button on my form, he realize, he misspelled the name – that is, he wants to stop the query.

I can do that using CTRL-BREAK. BUT he cannot, since I have given him an .accdr, not an .accdb base.

I want to put in a button labeled: “STOP it” – but what code should I write???

  Scroll down to the SPID of the process you would like to kill. Right click on that line and select 'Kill Process'. A popup window will open for you to confirm that you want to kill the process.
