At different times during the day, the database will begin refreshing several times in a row. I doesn't matter which form I'm using at the time. It actually doesn't allow me to do anything else while it's happening. It lasts a few seconds. 

If I am using a different app and it begins happening the app will lose its focus.

  Can you expand on what you mean by "refreshing several times in a row"?  Also, what do you mean by "using a different app"?
