Can shared MS Access .accdb files be used on the Azure File Storage Cloud
AnsweredI manage 28 MS Access multi-user frontend/backend apps. The server department that I work with is shutting down the Windows Server where they are currently located. They came up with the idea of moving the .accdb files from a Windows Server to Azure File Storage. I searched the internet to find someone who is currently doing this, but was unable to find anyone on the planet who is using Azure File storage to run Access Databases. Is this a viable solution?

Thank you for contacting us about this. The short answer to your question is "no". If you want to go Azure, the database needs to be migrated to SQL Server and the applications modified to support that. Then you need you need to port the whole thing to Azure, possibly as a VM.For other consulting services from FMS, please contact our business development manager, Dan Wasser at dwasser@fmsinc.com
