Background
Total Access Detective finds the differences between any two objects in one Microsoft Access database, including fields, controls, properties, macro lines, module code, and data.
We recently added a feature to preserve the last location and size of its forms and datasheet columns. An error occurs in certain situations.
Problem
When launching the Total Access Detective addin from a database, it may crash with a 3270 error in procedure IsWindowOverlapping.
Solution
The problem occurs for Access 2003 or earlier databases that were never set with Access options. Technically, the database's UseMDIMode property was never set.
To correct this, follow these steps:
- From the database, go to the Access menu: File -> Options. The screen should look similar to below.
- Click OK.
- Run Total Access Detective again.
This will be corrected in a future release of Total Access Detective.
